Overview
A full-day trip from Agadir into the Atlas foothills: the palm-fringed pools and gorges of Paradise Valley, a walk to natural swimming spots, an argan cooperative and a Berber lunch.
Paradise Valley is the most beautiful day trip from Agadir — a string of palm-shaded pools and smooth rock gorges carved into the western High Atlas, about an hour and a half inland. The river runs clear and cool between the cliffs, with natural swimming holes that locals have used for generations.
We drive up through the surf village of Aourir and the argan forests (with a women's cooperative stop), then walk into the valley to the best swimming pools. There's time to swim, jump from the rocks if you dare, and relax over a Berber tagine lunch at a riverside café before the drive back to the coast.

Frequently asked
Questions about this tour.
How far is Paradise Valley from Agadir?
About an hour and a half by road, north along the coast through Aourir and then inland into the Atlas foothills — an easy full-day trip with plenty of time at the pools.
Can you swim in Paradise Valley year-round?
The pools are best and fullest from late winter into early summer. By late summer some pools shrink in dry years. The walk and scenery are rewarding any time; bring swimwear and we'll find the best water available on the day.
Is this trip suitable for children?
Yes — the walk into the valley is short and the shallow pools are great for families. Keep an eye on children near the deeper pools and the rocks.
