Overview
A full-day loop through three High Atlas valleys — Ourika, Oukaïmeden and Asni — with Berber villages, a short camel or mule walk, a cooperative stop and a mountain tagine lunch.
The Three Valleys day trip is the most varied way to see the High Atlas in a single day from Marrakech. Rather than following one valley, we make a loop through three: the lush Ourika, the high mountain plateau of Oukaïmeden (Africa's highest ski resort, at 2,600m), and the apple-growing Asni valley below Jbel Toubkal.
The day mixes scenery and culture: terraced Berber villages, a short camel or mule walk, a stop at an argan or carpet cooperative, mint tea with a mountain family, and a tagine lunch on a riverside terrace. A relaxed, full-day excursion back at your riad by early evening.

Frequently asked
Questions about this tour.
What are the three valleys on this Atlas day trip?
The Ourika valley, the high Oukaïmeden plateau (Africa's highest ski resort at 2,600m) and the Asni valley below Jbel Toubkal — a varied loop showcasing different sides of the High Atlas in one day.
Is there snow on this trip in winter?
Often, yes — Oukaïmeden holds snow from roughly December to March, so you may see a snow-capped plateau while the lower valleys stay green. Bring a warm layer year-round for the altitude.
How much walking is involved?
Easy and optional. Short walks through villages and an optional camel or mule ride; most of the day is the scenic drive and the stops. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
